Current Contractor, less than 1 year
Pros
Vector got me a placement at a wonderful organization that turned into a direct hire. I worked with Juliann Cruikshank who is great at what she does. She did a wonderful job at understanding my strengths and placing me with a company where she knew I would be successful. Working at Vector opened up a wonderful door of opportunity for me.
Cons
I did not have any negative experiences with Vector

Not a good fit.
Recommend
CEO Approval
Business Outlook
Pros
Good pay and thorough onboarding.
Cons
Poor talent and skill assessments cause bad placements. Recruiters are not knowledgeable about the field and nomenclature they are recruiting for.

Pros
I'd say the only cons are some people are friendly enough and if you are a "favorite" then you will get a lot of perks. Either way your pay will be minimal! Every position is well underpaid, by at least 50% So no pros! I worked here for nearly 3 years. I can honestly say, I stayed because I didn't have the time to look for a new job!
Cons
Management- zero guidance, the CEO often showed up nearly drunk, a former Director often showed up hung over or clearly high! The office space is simply sad- horrible set up, old furniture, computers and no real ambiance Zero room for growth (only reason I had any promotion is bc I nearly left, twice) The products they offer are subpar, at best - old technology and hardly user friendly

Pros
Flexible work hours! Fun people to work with on a daily basis!! Working hard but laughing and enjoying myself completely!! Love what I am doing!! Love this Team!!
Cons
To all you complainers out there - When you are working at a staffing firm you have to have gusto, you have to be able to push through the hard requisitions and keep moving; so my advice to you is; if you do not like helping people and making a difference in people's lives then move on - go find another job!!

Pros
Some of the coworkers. Some of the events the events they host on-site are a great idea for networking.
Cons
Where to start? I believe some of the reviews posted on Vector Technical Resources are really meant for for Vector Talent Resources. It's the same logo. There really is one person who is cancer to this company. And management knows who it is. Turnover is common in this industry, but so many people leave because of this one person. No one wants to work under someone ultra condescending, who can't even look up from their computer to look at you when you're asking a question. It's a tough environment when your boss tells you everyday how great she is, and how smart she is.

Current Employee, more than 3 years
Pros
The teamwork environment is great and the team is more like a family. Some members who use to be in management might have scared away internal employees but has always been a help when solving and putting out fires with clients and external candidates.
Cons
More teleworking opportunities to producing team members.
Thank you for the feedback! We are committed to creating a comfortable and collaborative environment for all our employees. While we love to see everyone's smiling face in the office, we understand that some teleworking opportunities support a stronger work-life balance. Speak to your direct supervisor to see if there are any teleworking options available.

Pros
Successor to Editorial Experts, Inc., so comparatively good place to go for editorial temp jobs.
Cons
Market for editors just isn't what it once was, but temps are treated as well as the market allows.

Pros
Getting a regular pay check.
Cons
Management. Specifically 1 person...if you ever worked in the Vienna office, you will know who I am talking about. Think very carefully before accepting the offer...other members of management will not be able to help you when you encounter serious issues.
